An enclosed induction kit for the B58-powered M140i and M240i, developed in-house in the UK by AIRTEC and suitable for fast road or track use. It replaces the restrictive OEM airbox with a free-flowing cotton filter, an aluminium intake pipe with a billet MAF housing and a Pro Hoses silicone connector, for more flow, sharper response, a louder induction note and a tidier engine bay.
The key to it is the enclosure. AIRTEC fitted the largest filter the space allows, then wrapped it in a profiled, laser-cut shield that seals against the bonnet and inner wing. That sealed box keeps the filter away from hot engine-bay air, while the original OEM feed underneath channels fresh cold air straight to it, so the filter stays fed with cool air and avoids heat soak. It bolts in with no drilling or cutting and comes with all the fixtures, fittings and instructions.

Quality kit, great noise, went on easy
Delivery dragged slightly but nothing worth moaning about, well packed and complete
Fitted it to my M240i after a Stage 1 map and it suits it perfectly, breathes better up top. Everything needed came in the box and the build feels proper motorsport grade
Had my indie fit the AIRTEC and he rated it, lined up cleanly and no fuss. Sounds mint now and pulls that bit harder
Was torn between a couple of brands but AIRTEC's reputation swung it, no regrets. Proper induction noise and a tidy install
