A high-flow stainless downpipe with a 200 CPSI racing main cat for the early N55, aimed at drivers who want a real step up in power and torque but would rather keep a catalytic converter in the system. Opening the bore to 76mm lets exhaust gas escape with far less back pressure, and the 200 CPSI cat is the more aggressive, race-leaning choice when flow matters most.

Each pipe is cut from SS304 (1.4301) stainless steel, so it stands up to heat and corrosion over the long term, and the geometry was worked out in CAD to drop straight onto the OEM mounts with no trimming or adjustment. Two lambda bosses are built in to suit different sensor setups. A useful side effect of the freer flow is cooler running at the turbo, which eases its heat load and helps it last.

FAQ

How does a 200 CPSI cat differ from a 300 CPSI one?
A 200 cell cat has fewer, larger passages, so it flows a little more freely. A 300 cell version cleans the exhaust more but flows slightly less.
Why is this version for cars built up to 06/2013?
Earlier N55 F-series cars can use a different setup than later ones. Confirm your build date is up to 06/2013 so it fits.
Does a 200 cell cat flow more than a higher count?
Fewer cells mean less restriction, so a 200 cell cat flows more than a 300. The trade-off is slightly less emissions cleaning.
Is a 200 cell cat still reasonably emissions friendly?
It still treats the exhaust, though less than a higher cell count. It is a middle ground between a decat and a dense cat.
Does the lower cell count change the exhaust sound?
Less restriction can make the exhaust a touch louder than a denser cat. The difference is usually modest.
Is this downpipe worth it on a stock N55?
On a stock car the gain is limited until it is tuned to use the flow. It becomes more worthwhile as part of a wider setup.
