Sorted my E90 335i a treat, the 200 cell flows way better than the tired stock cat and it woke the N55 up. Bolted to the factory flange with no grief

If your N55 is being held back anywhere, it is the factory downpipe. Ours opens it up: a 76mm bore and a free-flowing 200 CPSI racing main cat let the exhaust clear faster, dropping back pressure so the engine makes more power and, just as noticeably, more torque. The cat keeps a Euro 6 coating, so the gains come without throwing emissions out the window.
What it is made of, and how it fits
The body is cast SS304 (1.4301) stainless steel, chosen for how long it lasts and how well it shrugs off corrosion under constant heat. The whole part was drawn up in CAD around the OEM geometry, so it goes straight onto the factory mounting points as a 100% direct swap, nothing to trim, bend or adapt. Two lambda sensor bosses are built in, leaving room for whatever sensor layout your tune calls for.
What it does for the car
Two things, really. The obvious one is performance: more flow, less restriction, a stronger pull through the range. The quieter one is longevity: by letting heat escape more freely, it eases the thermal load on the turbocharger, which tends to live a longer life for it.

Big improvement over stock, fit well, no complaints
Grabbed this for my E82 135i since the old cat was restrictive and past its best. The 200CPSI breathes much freer, and it lined up to the existing exhaust cleanly
Delivery was a little slow but the part was well protected and turned up in perfect nick
Mechanic fitted it and said it went straight onto the stock flange on the E90, no messing. Flows better and sounds a bit meatier
On an older N55 this made a proper difference, more eager up top and no drama with my tune. Just keep in mind emissions rules locally
