Take your BMW’s direct-injection fuel system beyond factory limits with theΒ Precision Raceworks Stage 2 +55% Direct Injectors. Developed for high-output N55 and S55 applications, these upgraded injectors provide substantially greater fueling capacity while allowing performance builds to retain direct injection as the primary fueling solution.

Offering 55% more flow than the factory injectors, the Stage 2 set provides the additional fuel delivery required for aggressive turbo, ethanol and high-horsepower setups. With the appropriate fuel system, engine modifications and calibration, Precision Raceworks rates the injectors for theoretical power capability of up to 950 WHP on gasoline or 715 WHP on E85 without supplemental port injection.

Precisely Calibrated as a Matched Set

Consistent fuel delivery is critical at elevated power levels. Every injector is individually tested and calibrated using high-pressure flow-testing equipment before being assembled into a matched set of six. This process helps maintain consistent injector performance across all cylinders and provides tuners with a reliable foundation for demanding applications.

Built for Gasoline, Ethanol & High-Performance Fuels

The Stage 2 injectors are compatible with E85 as well as gasoline and other commonly used performance fuels, making them an excellent option for flex-fuel and dedicated ethanol builds. Their increased capacity can also reduce or eliminate the need for supplemental port injection in many applications, depending on the vehicle's power target and supporting fuel-system components.

Tuner-Friendly Integration

These injectors are supported by popular BMW tuning platforms including MHD, bootmod3 and EcuTek. Installation follows the factory injector location, with injector replacement followed by the required coding and tuning configuration.

Important Fitment Note

These injectors are only compatible with vehicles equipped from the factory with an electronic wastegate (EWG). Verify engine, wastegate configuration and tuning compatibility before ordering.

Horsepower figures represent theoretical injector capability and are not guaranteed vehicle power figures. Achieving these power levels requires an appropriately built engine and fuel system, proper supporting modifications and professional calibration.

FAQ

Can these injectors handle a tuned or higher-power setup?
Their suitability depends on the flow rating for this specific version, which is stated in the spec, not on the engine alone. If you run a custom map, share your target power so we can confirm the flow is enough.
Do I have to replace the o-rings and seals along with the injectors?
Sealing parts are wear items, so fitting fresh o-rings and combustion seals during the swap is strongly recommended. Reusing old seals on DI injectors often leads to leaks or fueling faults.
After fitting, do the injectors need calibration coding?
On N55/S55 units each injector carries a calibration value that must be written to the ECU so it trims that cylinder correctly. Skipping this step can cause rough running, so plan for diagnostic software.
Can I replace just one faulty injector instead of the full set?
Technically one can be swapped, but mixing a new injector with worn ones tends to create uneven fueling across cylinders. Replacing the complete set keeps flow consistent and idle stable.
How long do direct injectors usually last before they need replacing?
Lifespan varies with fuel quality, driving style and maintenance rather than a fixed mileage. Regular fuel filter changes and clean fuel are the main things that extend their service life.
What is the real difference between OEM-grade and bargain injectors?
Quality units hold tighter tolerances on spray pattern and flow, which supports smooth idle and even power. Very cheap options often drift out of spec faster and can trigger misfires.
