A drop-in low-pressure fuel pump upgrade for the X3 and X4, built to run any blend up to 100% E85. The factory pump limits how much fuel the system can deliver, which caps power on ethanol no matter what else is added. These bucketed Walbro pumps flow up to 300% more than stock while staying fully E85-compliant, and the bucket keeps the primary pump submerged whatever the tank level or g-forces, so it suits street and track alike. Each ships fully assembled, with a new pump, fuel filter and sending unit, and there is no core charge.

Fitment is true drop-in: no wires to cut or splice and nothing to assemble, at OEM quality.

Stage 2 — single Walbro 450 (2.2 LPM)
Supports up to 575 whp (500 whp on 100% E85).

  • Genuine OEM fuel pump bucket assembly, pre-assembled with a Walbro 450 (F90000274)
  • New fuel sending unit (fuel level sensor)
  • New primary and secondary fuel filters
  • No aftermarket EKP required

Stage 2.5 v2 — single Walbro 535 (3.5 LPM)
Supports up to 675 whp (600 whp on 100% E85).

  • Genuine OEM fuel pump bucket assembly, pre-assembled with a Walbro 535 (F90000295)
  • New fuel sending unit (fuel level sensor)
  • New primary and secondary fuel filters
  • No aftermarket EKP required

Both are plug-and-play, straightforward enough to fit in a home garage.

FAQ

What is an LPFP, and how does it differ from the HPFP?
The LPFP is the low-pressure pump in the tank that feeds the high-pressure pump. The HPFP then raises pressure for injection, so the two work in sequence.
Does the LPFP sit in the fuel tank?
Yes, the low-pressure pump lives inside the fuel tank. Fitting it means accessing the pump assembly there.
Does it fit the X3/X4 across their engines?
It targets these X3 and X4 cars, but engines can differ. Confirm your exact model and engine before ordering.
Does an upgraded LPFP need the HPFP upgraded too?
On a big build both pumps may need attention, since they work together. A strong LPFP helps most when the rest of the fuel system keeps up.
Does fitting an in-tank pump need the tank accessed?
Replacing an in-tank pump means reaching the assembly through the access panel or dropping the tank. Follow proper fuel-system safety during the job.
When does a build actually need an upgraded LPFP?
It matters once higher power outpaces the factory low-pressure supply. A stock or mild car usually does not need it.
